REVOLUTION - ROYAL DELUXE [directors cut]
music video

In the fall of 2020, Clayton McCracken (c180n) and I were contracted to create a series of 7 lyric videos for LA trio Royal Deluxe. The videos were to feature 3D animations of big cats running through a dystopian city, cut to the music and glitched to crunchy perfection. I was in charge of the animation, c180n the editing and vfx processing.

Like many projects, this one took some aesthetic turns in the midst of production and the glitches were ultimately cut. Still, the director and myself felt the need to see the initial vision through to the end. This directors cut is a compilation of our favorite shots from all 7 videos, cut to an original audio piece by c180n and glitched out the wazoo as was initially envisioned.
